Putting a round peg in a round hole is no doubt a practical solution to the leadership crises experienced in Epe community, Lagos State and the country at large.
At this critical stage of the nation, where youths are standing up to speak against bad governance, a radical change and paradigm shift from what used to be the status quo as regard leadership is urgently needed.
Certainly, a change in political culture and strategies of selecting leaders will definitely fast track the expected growth and development process of the nation. This will in turn improve the lives of the common man who knows nobody before they can earn a sustainable living.
Reacting to the flag off of a Block of Six Classrooms at Army Children High School, LASU Road Epe, on Monday 10th November, 2020, the Tutor General and Permanent Secretary of Education District III, Falomo, Ikoyi Lagos State, Dr. Mrs. Olufolayimika Ayandele, has called on Epe residents to strive to elect learned, efficient, competent and visionary representatives during elections so as to experience quality representation in all elective positions.
Ably represented by Mrs. Adefuye from Epe Zonal District Office, the TG/PS applauded the developmental projects embarked upon by Hon. Wale Raji in Epe Federal Constituency. She also expressed satisfaction on the SDGs compliant projects which include construction of Block of classrooms and ICT Centers in Epe Secondary schools.
" Today is not a day for a huge discussion but it will be odd for my TG/PS ably represented not to say a word to our House of Reps. member. I am happy to represent her because I have aligned into her system of operation and I am happy we have a learned Honourable Member who is our partner in progress hence, the ability to flow together. Whenever you want to elect a representative, make sure you pick an able, critical and visionary leader thereby, having a competent and efficient representation.
On behalf of my TG/PS, Dr. Olufolayimika Ayandele Abiose, I am saying a very big thank you to our House of Representative member who happens to be my brother and my mentor. He might not be much outgiven as expressed in some quarters but I will never condemn him for that having known him as far back as when he was the PS, Ministry of Agric. He does not give you fish, but will teach you how to fish so that you will be economically independent. The legacy he is giving us today is a permanent and laudable one", she said.
Additionally, she admonished Public office holders, well meaning individuals and politicians from the community to invest heavily in education stating that it is the best as it would be beneficial to us all and the future generations.
" Whoever that wants to leave a good legacy in his or her constituency should go into education sector she emphasised. This is why the TG/PS decided to honor him with an award of excellence based on his immense contribution and support towards education, she said.
