PARDONED RAPIST BY GOVERNOR DEFILES MINOR IN A MOSQUE.

A leopard doesn't change its color says an adage. Not every criminal gets a second chance in the face of law. But this news report exposes how a rapist got a second chance and blew it. It explains succinctly the nemesis of an unrepentant serial rapist who after being told to go and sin no more by the State Governor was caught having the carnal knowledge of a 4 year old girl child.

The said rapist however found no better place to unleash his barbaric act other than a religious house, the mosque. This is not only sad but a disrespect to both humanity and at large our creator, God almighty.
According to a report sighted on the Facebook page of End Child Sexual Abuse in Nigeria, it said:
"After allegedly being pardoned by the government, serial rapist defiles a 4-yr-old girl inside a mosque.
A 50-year-old man, Yusuf Bako of Yakubu Wanka, has been arrested by men of the Bauchi State Police Command for allegedly raping a 4-year-old girl.
It was gathered that the suspect allegedly lured the victim , Hauwa Jamilu, to a mosque and had carnal knowledge of her.
It is reported that the suspect was among inmates allegedly  pardoned by the state governor few months ago to decongest prisons and curb the spread of coronavirus.

Confirming the incident , Spokesperson for the command, DSP Ahmed Mohammed Awkil, said in a statement on Friday, September 4, that the suspect was arrested on Thursday and has confessed to the crime".

The absurd incident is a wake up call to all of us that we must be vigilant at all times as rapists could strike even in holy places. A rapist should not even be pardoned in any guise as its punishment is clearly stated in Nigeria's constitution.

We must stand up against rape by proactively and consciously enlightening our young ones, the male gender in particular, to put an end to endangering the lives of the girl child. To protect the girl child from harm, the fight begins with you and I.
