BSUTH cuts off lady’s breast only to later find out that she does not have cancer

A lady, identified as Serah Shimenenge Yugh, is raising misdiagnoses awareness and seeking justice against the Benue State University Teaching Hospital after she lost one of her breasts due to an error in diagnosis during her NYSC in 2017.

According to Foundation for Investigative Journalism, FIJ, Miss Yugh only found out about the error after already undergoing 8 chemotherapy sessions, 25 rounds of radiotherapy and a single mastectomy on her left breast.

It was at the National Hospital, Abuja, that her oncologist pointed out discrepancies in the results she presented. According to the oncologist, her tumour marker test showed that she was clear of cancer.

Subsequent back and forth between the two hospitals and the involvement of an NGO, Project PINK BLUE, later confirmed that she indeed never had cancer.

She was later offered a breast reconstruction surgery and a job during a meeting with the then Commissioner for Health, Benue State, but she rejected both offers because she saw it as a ploy to silence her.

The lady, who lost her relationship and her dream to pursue a Ph.D, during the saga, also insisted on knowing how she would cope with the side effects of the chemotherapy, radiotherapy and drugs she was taking. 📸: FIJ

Why I slapped my colleague, Fathia Balogun, at a recent event – Actress Remi Surutu

Actress Remi Surutu has opened up on her fight with her colleague, Faithia Williams. The duo had reportedly clashed at a party after Surutu approached Faithia to confront her about things she had heard her say about her.

Speaking with City People, Surutu, confirmed she confronted and even slapped Faithia at the party which was organised by London based star, Bamidele Omosehin, to iron out their issues in the way she saw fit.

According to her, “My fight with Fathia Williams started when I began hearing all manner of jargons, she was saying about me. I heard she’s been going about running me down in the presence of many of our colleagues and movie producers. She’s messing up big time and somebody needed to put her in a place where she belongs.

This is the person I took in like a sister. We were very close when she joined the industry. I can say it boldly that I was instrumental to her relationship with Saidi Balogun then. They were both living with me in Magodo. I had to send them out because they always fight, and they almost injured my mum.

I don’t know why she suddenly grow that hatred for me and started running me down. Till date, I still can not say what I’ve done to deserve that from her. There are so many other things she did that I can’t say here.

Faithia is so full of herself, probably because they used to deceive her, by calling her the Queen of all the Actresses, “Pelu awon tani”. I decided to confront her and deal with her at that event, because somebody needed to call her to order. And God saved her that day and thank God for the intervention of other colleagues around. I told her “if you move closer to me, I will break bottle on your head”

When people started calling us to settle it amicably, I told them I am not ready to settle anything with her, and I don’t feel remorseful for attacking her. I have no regret at all, she’s really messing up and she needed to be put in her place.”

Pastor charged for allegedly raping 14-yr-old member, sells church building and relocates

A pastor, Chris McDouglas Omosokpea of Peculiar Generation Assembly Church, Oshodi, Lagos, who’s facing a charge for the rape of his member’s teen daughter has allegedly sold his church building and fled to an unknown place to establish another church.

SaharaReporters reports that Omosokpea had allegedly s*xually abused a 14-year-old girl for the past four years before he was arrested in June 2020 and charged before the court for defilement. He was, however, granted bail on health grounds before the Lagos High Court.

Omosokpea didn’t show up in court when the case came up again on Tuesday, March 2. The Presiding Magistrate, Kubeinje, subsequently adjourned the case till April 21, 2021.

It was gathered that, before he was arrested, the victim claimed the pastor deceived her with fake prophecies and she kept the abuses away from her parents, who had been members of the church for over 12 years, with a strong belief that Pastor Douglas was a real man of God.

However, when she could no longer bear it, she started threatening to commit suicide over the trauma and was persuaded to open up on what she was passing through. It was then she opened up and told her parents that Pastor Douglas had abused her for the past four years and instilled fear into her not to tell anyone.

SaharaReporters learnt that Omosokpea had allegedly established another church in an undisclosed location at Lekki, Lagos.
